Rugby Welsh 28 v Shottery 10

Welsh began the new season with this hard fought victory against a well organised Shottery outfit.

11th September 2004

Rugby Welsh 5 v Pinley 31

Welsh lost their opening league match of the season but this performance gave the team plenty of encouragement for the fixtures ahead.

Rugby Welsh 48 v Burbage 17

Welsh returned to winning ways with a solid performance against a plucky Burbage side in front of a good sizes Alwyn Road crowd.

Rugby Welsh 3 v Warwickians 42

Welsh came unstuck against a well- drilled Warwickian outfit at Alwyn Road.

2nd October 2004

Rugby Welsh 3 v Stoke Old Boys 37

Welsh knew from the outset they would face a tough challenge against this traditionally strong Coventry side.

Welsh gained their first league victory with an excellent team performance in front of the Vice Presidents at Alwyn Road. Welsh prepared well for this key fixture and they thoroughly deserved their success.

Welsh reached the semi final of the Clonwell Cup for the first time in many years with this hard fought victory against a well organised Southam side.

Welsh put up a plucky performance against top of the table Claverdon, who still remain undefeated after this victory.

Welsh showed their bounce back ability following last weeks defeat with this victory over Standard.

This traditionally proves to be a closely fought contest and Saturday’s fixture at Parkfield Road proved no different with Welsh clinching a narrow victory.

An excellent team performance saw Welsh clinch a narrow, but deserved league victory against a well drilled Atherstone outfit.

Rugby Welsh v 10 Cosby 10

Welsh took a break from league action and met up again with Cosby who they enjoyed several close games against in their previous Merit table fixtures.

Welsh continued their good league form with an impressive victory over a hard working Saracens outfit.

Rugby Welsh 12 v Standard 11

Welsh overturned an 11 point half time deficit to secure an important league victory against a much improved Standard side.

Rugby Welsh 6 v Stoke Old Boys 20

Welsh were unable to gain revenge in this league fixture against a well organised Stoke outfit at a cold Alwyn Road.

Welsh narrowly lost this mid table fixture against a well organised Warwickian outfit.

Rugby Welsh 5 v Daventry II (cup) 38

Welsh put up a brave performance against the reigning cup holders but lost out to a useful Daventry side who will be difficult to beat in the final.

Rugby Welsh 0 v Pinley 29

Welsh put up another brave performance but were eventually unable to cope with a well organised Pinley side who remain top of the table.

Rugby Welsh 10 v Presidents 42

The Pat O’ Neill Memorial game once again provided excellent entertainment for a good sized Easter Monday crowd at Alwyn Road. Both sides entered into the spirit of the fixture in a match well referred by Roy Shallcross.

Rugby Welsh 7 v Cov Saracens 25

Welsh were unable to gain a victory in their final league game of the season losing out to an improved Saracens side.

Rugby Welsh 15 v London Welsh Occies 7

Welsh had a throughly enjoyable trip to London, well attended by both players and supporters and came away with a hard earned victory against an experienced side.

Rugby Welsh 48 v OLD LEAMINGTONIAN 3rds 31

Welsh were forced to reshuffle their side considerably but performed admirably against an experienced and well drilled OL’S side, coming away with an excellent high scoring victory.
